The existing surface showed raised lines across the pitch where drainage had been laid and haunched in concrete, thereby giving a different settlement rate to the rest of the pitch. Added to this the bottom pitch corner had also slipped down the slope. The works required that the existing drainage was all removed together with the haunching, instal new land drains and rebuild back up the settled areas of the pitch.
